Parking Information

There are many parking options available to Summer in the Park attendees, including street parking and parking in some business lots. We ask our attendees to utilize parking available at a public lot located near the San Marcos Lions Club (it’s just a short walk away) or public spaces available on the street surrounding Plaza Park. this works especially well for San Marcos residents who have registered their vehicles for free parking in city lots.

UPDATE: Just recently San Marcos instituted a parking fee for non-residents in many of the city’s lots. Residents must register their vehicles to park free in these lots.

City Park offers 268 convenient parking spaces with easy access to the San Marcos River, Lions Club Tube Rental, and the Pauline Espinosa Community Hall. Beginning July 2025, paid parking will be in effect for all visitors who do not live within the San Marcos City limits. For more information, go to: https://sanmarcostx.gov/4546/City-Park-Paid-Parking-Lot

Handicap spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis near the Plaza Park Stage. Must have a permit to park.

If you choose to park elsewhere, we highly encourage guests to follow all posted parking policies including whether the lot you choose is free or paid. Please be respectful of surrounding businesses and do not park in areas which are labeled private property with towing enforced.

Artists, vendors, volunteers, & sponsors – please contact your Summer in the Park representative or speak with a team member for parking information.
